Summer Family Activities

Join Ranger Anna for an exciting array of family activities in the great outdoors this summer. Come and explore the amazing nature and wildlife on the Abbotsford estate with lots of opportunites to learn or create something new.

All activities are 1.5 hours long. All children must be accompanied by an adult with no more than 3 children per adult.

Green Men Faces

Join Ranger Anna on an exciting scavenger hunt before crafting your very own Green Men Faces out of clay! Suitable for ages 5-8 years.

Tweed Exploration

What can you find in the river? Grab your wellies and join Ranger Anna for some family fun river dipping in the Tweed on the Abbotsford estate!

This activity requires the ability to get down the riverbank on uneven ground and would therefore not be classed as an accessible activity for those with mobility issues. Six family spaces available per session. Suitable for ages 7-11 years.

Family Walk in Walter’s Greenwood

Join Ranger Anna for a family friendly walk around the Abbotsford estate to learn more about nature and create your very own journey stick as a reminder of your adventure. Suitable for ages 0- 8 years.

Abbotsford's Homes for Wildlife

Abbotsford is home to some incredible wildlife! Join Ranger Anna to learn more about the animal homes we have on the Estate. Suitable for ages 5-8 years.
