Clovenfords Inn
On being appointed Sherriff of Selkirkshire, Sir Walter Scott stayed at the Clovenfords Inn multiple times before purchasing his first home in the Borders.
It was here Sir Walter Scott met William Wordsworth and his sister Dorothy during their tour of the Scottish Borders. Today Sir Walter Scott’s statue stands proudly in front of the inn, now called Clovenfords hotel.
