Loch Coruisk

Popularised by Sir Walter Scott’s poem “The Lord of the Isles” (1815), Loch Coruisk is located at the very heart of the Cuillin Hills, on the Isle of Skye.

It is said to be one of the most magnificent freshwater lochs in Scotland, measuring 38 metres deep, comprised of inky blue water and surrounded by jagged peaks.

Visitors can enjoy a 4-mile boat trip around the loch, by booking with one of two boat companies, Misty Isle Boat or the Bella Jane, which both run from the nearby village of Elgol
