Rhymer’s Stone,

Rhymer’s stone is a monument to Thomas the Rhymer, the reputed prophet from the Border town of Earlston and protagonist of a well-known folktale and Scottish ballad which featured in Sir Walter Scott’s Minstrelsy of the Scottish Border (1802).
