Rob Roy’s Cave

Sir Walter Scott visited Rob Roy’s cave, the hiding spot for Scotland’s most famous outlaw, in 1817 in research for his novel of the same name.

The cave can be visited today, although there is an 8-foot drop at its entrance, so visitors are asked to take care of their footing!
